Shawn A. Galicic is the founding partner and managing principal of Z-21 Development, Inc. Mr. Galicic has created a vision for Z-21 that draws on investing in real estate of all kinds to extend not only the life of each property but to redesign and recreate that life by way of servicing the public in a unique form. He believes in investing in premier real estate to create innovative, superior residential and mixed-use developments through visionary design by way of providing amenities for each chosen market segment; thereby maximizing the benefits for owners, customers, communities, employees and partners. Shawn & his team of professionals continue to invest in developments that create a legacy of positive social, economic and physical impacts for all stakeholders. Mr. Galicic oversees the asset management for Z-21 by way of directing operations and accessing profitability. His time is spent negotiating and consummating a variety of complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, financings, restructurings and foreclosures. He is otherwise responsible for all aspects of a diverse transactional real estate practice.
Shawn has accumulated close to 15 years of experience in the real estate industry. Prior to the formation of Z-21, Mr. Galicic served as the owner and chief of operations for five individual beach sport rental companies. His responsibilities consisted of overseeing not only the structure of the business entity but the managing of day to day operations & outgoing services. Shawn has devoted his career to investing his time & money in businesses that serve the public and real estate that holds & retains value and worth to the community. Mr. Galicic has directed all new construction, project financing, land acquisition and disposition for the property of each business entity.
Mr. Galicic studied at Washington & Jefferson College where he Graduated with a dual degree in both Psychology & History.
Nicholas M. DeWaal

Nicholas M. DeWaal is Executive Vice President of Z-21 Development, Inc. Mr. DeWaal was brought on to help start the company in 2008 to oversee working relations & build new partnerships with reputable financial institutions and real estate brokerages. Nick, along with his team of Executives have combined over 40 years of industry experience including renovating and repositioning, residential and commercial real estate assets. Nick has put his focus on seeking out and acquiring distressed property investments in desired communities. These property types include but are not limited to single & multi-family residential, hotels/resorts, office, retail, and auto spas. Nick's day to day contributions to Z-21 consist of drafting financial proposals to submit to potential lenders, researching community/business developments (commercial and residential), and validating market value for each potential investment.
Prior to joining the team at Z-21 Development, Nick spent 8 combined years working in the industry for B & N Development, Inc. & Beachsports Royal Palm, Inc. His experience includes researching and acquiring residential property, seeking out local contractors and structuring budgets for necessary renovations. Nick managed the operations, budget, and the human resource department for Beachsports Royal Palm, Inc. Nick's ability to multi-task, research, and evaluate numbers allowed him to oversee such a vast amount of daily activities.
Mr. DeWaal received his Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Illinois State University. He contributed to the American Marketing Association by holding board member status as Vice President of Community Relations & Business Development.
